Since the start of 2018, EU funding has been awarded to a network of housing initiatives to study, publicize and support the growth of Community Land Trusts in European cities. A three-year project entitled ‘Sustainable housing for inclusive and cohesive cities’ will include partners in France, Belgium, Holland and England. id22: Institute for Creative Sustainability will be representing Berlin in this network, with the ambitious goal of bringing the CLT idea to Berlin and Germany in the coming years. Since the beginning of this year, id22 has been working with other Berlin housing experts and activists to cooperatively develop both the theory and practice of CLTs. The project aims to demonstrate how fostering the growth of CLTs can have a positive impact on affordability issues and work against poor quality housing and segregation.
EU Förderung für Community Land Trusts!
Seit Anfang 2018 stehen EU Fördermittel für ein Netzwerk von wohnungspolitischen Initiativen in verschiedenen europäischen Städten zur Verfügung, um Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in Europa zu erforschen, bekannt zu machen, und deren Realisierung zu fördern. Das Dreijahresprogramm mit dem Namen “Sustainable housing for inclusive and cohesive cities” (Nachhaltiges Wohnen für Inklusion und Zusammenhalt in den Städten) wird mit Partner*innen in Frankreich, Belgien, den Niederlanden und Großbritannien durchgeführt. Id22: Institut für kreative Nachhaltigkeit vertritt Berlin in diesem Netzwerk und arbeitet mit weiteren Berliner Aktiven seit Beginn des Jahres an Strategien die Theorie und Praxis von CLTs in Berlin und Deutschland zu verbreiten. Das Ziel des Projektes ist es zu zeigen, wie CLTs die Leistbarkeit des Wohnens sicherstellen, minderwertige Wohnverhältnisse verhindern und der Segregation entgegenwirken.
