The article by Amy Blakely introduces the research on senior co-housing trends conducted by Sherry Cummings, associate dean and professor of social work at the University of Tennessee and Nancy Kropf, dean of Georgia State University’s Perimeter College in the summer 2019. The study has investigated the growing trend of senior citizens turning to co-housing communities across the US as a way to ensure their own independence as much as possible whilst combating loneliness and isolation.
