This article is about the cohousing project Lilac Grove in Leeds, UK. The project consists of 20 individual, private housing units, grouped around a communal garden and courtyard and connected by a common house where residents meet, cook and eat together, and govern their community. The project has been supported by the city council and has been viewed as a potential model of housing for the future.
